Rules and disciplines:  Ken Krider – helmet should only have player number, leaf logo & flag. Coaching director: Bob Felser – clinics not yet scheduled waiting for ice availability. Board concerned with the condition of ice. The cost was increased this year and the quality is worse.  Safety is also an issue.  Todd reports some parents concern with the mite development program.  Practices need to be more challenging.  Bob is working on a performance report card for coaches to keep parents informed on the players progress and areas to work on. Evaluation during the year and at the end of the season. Coaches must enforce throat protectors (SMAHL rule). Mouth guards are mandatory. All coaches must wear helmets on the ice.

Equipment: Lori Heldt – all teams have jerseys, waiting to hear from mite-development program. UT coach requested to borrow SMAHL pennies for try-outs. Coaches need keys to SMAHL office and mailboxes.

Public relations: Kerri Johnston – tournament update – problems with filling tournament – many tournaments are scheduled the same weekend, economy – teams want to stay closer to home, possibly lower price to fill tournament.

New business: Teams have received new rule book and insurance information.
