The Initiation Program is designed for players who are either new to the sport of Ice Hockey or have limited skating experience.  It is a requirement that all players complete IP before participating at either the House or Travel level. The program consists of three 28-hour sessions (fall, winter, spring). Fundamental skills of skating, puck handling, passing, etc. are emphasized in a standard set of lessons that were developed by USA Hockey.  Each one hour lesson will cover one to two new skills as well as a review previous lessons. If you are interested in helping out on the ice, you will need to have completed the class to receive your IP Coaching Certification (a USA Hockey Program).  We will be offering IP Coaching Clinics for those not yet certified.  You MUST attend this USA Hockey Coaching Certification class if you do not have your coaching card and you intend on helping out on the ice.
