Minutes for House Board Meeting on Monday January 10, 2005

7:20 p.m. Meeting was called to order by Harold St. John.

Board Members present were, Harold St. John, Karen Ward, Jan Cone, Donna Momsen, Chris Easton, Keith Sokoloski, Brian Baumgartner, and Sharon DuVall. Visitors in attendance were, Shawnna Easton, Larry DuVall, and Joe Reynolds.

Harold St.John asked for a motion to accept Minutes from the December Meeting, first to accept were Donna Momsen, seconded by Jan Cone and passed unanimously.

First Order of Business: Harold St. John took the floor and cleared the air on many subjects, all to follow. He spoke on e-mails and Chris Easton said all were finished. He asked Donna Momsen if refund was returned to Amy Parker and her reply was all is done. Harold asked if Adam Tucker was taken care of and Chris and Jan said yes. He spoke with Keith and Chris on Match Penalties and both agreed that it will be taken care of. It was agreed to that Bruce McKenna will do Pond Hockey Tournament. Harold brought forth a motion to give all house teams an extra hour of ice time and it passed unanimously. Harold will talk to Paul on his tournament and get it all finalized. He will talk with Frank Hammond on a Squirt Tournament. He asked Chris to do a skating clinic. Monday March 7, 2005 will be Board Elections. You must be present to be elected again. We held a discussion on the Banquet and its speakers. Harold brought forth a motion to purchase a SMAHL Shirt for Larry DuVall for all volunteer time he has put into the rink and it was seconded by Karen and passed unanimously. Chris was asked when is next coaches meeting and said January 25. Shawnna was asked to put together a form for next year for all coaches to fill out at beginning of year. This will make her job a lot easier and faster. Motion was brought forth to purchase medals for IP Graduation and it was seconded by Donna and passed unanimously with a limit of $200.00. Spring IP sign ups will be taken care of by Donna. A flyer will be put together by Joe Reynolds and all will help to distribute. Used equipment sale will be held on IP registration night. Shawnna will take care of Mini-Mite and Mite Teams that want to do away tournaments. A discussion was had on zero tolerance.

New Business was called for and Larry and Sharon DuVall spoke on upcoming clinic and how we will promote them. Donna Momsen spoke on Banquet Letters to be sent to all house players and how to get flyers out to IP players. Joe Reynolds will do PR for IP spring sign-ups.

Old Business was called for and none found. Karen Ward asked for meeting to be adjourned at 8:55 p.m. It was seconded by Brian Baumgartner and passed unanimously.
