Minutes for House Board Meeting on May 10, 2004

7:10 P.M. Meeting was called to order by Harold St. John.

Board members in attendance were Harold St. John, Donna Monsen, Jan Cone, Chris Easton, Sharon DuVall, Shawnna Easton, Joe Reynolds, and Karen Ward. Visitors in attendance were Laura Faulkner.

First Order of Business: Minutes from the April 12, 2004, meeting were read, motion to accept, first, Karen Ward, second, Jan Cone and then a unanimous approval.

Second Order of Business: Fall SMAHL House registration dates were set for Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, and Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004. I.P. registration will be Tuesday Sept. 14, 2004

Third Order of Business: Level 1, I.P. certification clinic is scheduled for Sept 25, 2004.Registration will be done on-line for coaches clinics. The $15.00 charge for coach’s breakfast and lunch was wavered for all SMAHL coaches. All non-SMAHL coaches will pay $15.00 for their meals. Vote passed unanimously.

Fourth Order of Business: Ken Ceisielski needs to finalize all SMAHL Banquet transactions with Diane Cook so she can complete her year end and turn over all financial books to Donna Momsen on Wednesday May 12, 2004.

Fifth Order of Business: Donna Momsen and Rex need to make a budget to be approved at next meeting.

Sixth Order of Business: Harold St.John will hold the annual used equipment sale on Tuesday Sept. 14, 2004.

Seventh Order of Business: Chris Easton needs to get coaches evaluation sheets to Harold St.John.

Eighth Order of Business: Harold St.John will do an I.P. diploma for the I.P. kids and give them out along with flyers on May 26, 2004.

Ninth Order of Business: Donna Momsen needs to get Joe Reynolds a check for $296.00 for Postage Stamps and $200.00 for supplies from Office Max.

Tenth Order of Business: Laura Faulkner talked on web site up-dates. Harold StJohn will turn over picture disc to her. All new up-dates can be turned over to her now.

Eleventh Order of Business: Team standings to be posted on the web site were brought up but no final decision was made.

Twelfth Order of Business: Brian Baumgartner is to send Thank You letters along with please help us again to all sponsors. He needs to get sponsors names to printer so jerseys can be finished.

Thirteenth Order of Business: Sharon DuVall is still waiting for jerseys to be turned in. She still has no key to the equipment cage. She was asked if she would want to share the cage with travel. She would like to know how much space they would need before she answers

Fourteenth Order of Business: Shawnna Easton will go make keys and pass them out to the board members that need them to get into their mail boxes. SMAHL Office will get new lock and keys for board members by next meeting.

Fifteenth Order of Business: Chris Easton asked Harold StJohn on coach’s appointments to the B teams. He was told to go to web site for info he needs. Larry DuVall wants to take First-Aid clinic with Chris Easton.

Sixteenth Order of Business: Laura Faulkner explained that the site on our web page marked web master is for Joe Reynolds so he can field complaints.

Old Business was called for and a motion was brought up to have All-Star Coaches appoint one person from their team to be responsible for distribution and collection of their jerseys at every game. First motion by Jan Cone, second motion by Chris Easton, unanimous approval by board.

New Business called for and none brought up.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
