Meeting Minutes - SMAHL House Board Meeting 9-8-03 (month - September)

Meeting called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Harold St. John

Absent: Holmes, Upton, R. Kuhr

Guests: Tom Dooley, Diane Cook

Old Business

·         None

OFFICE REPORTS

Vice - President (St. John)

·         No report.

Secretary (K. Kuhr) -

·         Absent

Treasurer (Upton/Cook) -

·         Budget for the year published, based on a 40 hour schedule.

·         IP Flyers are out.

·         Need to update the web site with information on how to register late for SMAHL House.

·         Finalizing Coaches clinic information to pass along to Mid-Am.

Scheduling (Heldt) -

·         All-Star try outs will begin Saturday, October 4^th.

·         Managers meeting for all House team will be held next week to review running the game clocks, pictures, etc..

Rules & Discipline (Sorg)

·         John Hirzel will be at the first Coaches meeting (Oct 2^nd, 7:00 PM) to talk about new rules for this year, etc..

·         Verbosky is the new President of the Referees’s this year.

·         Helmets are not being worn by some coaches.  Notes will be passed around as a reminder.

Equipment (Holmes)

·         Absent

Coaching - (Andres) -

·         All trades for sponsor and coaches kids are nearly completed.

·         Mite team size is becoming an issue with trying to manage the A-B-C lines and playing time.  The Mite coaches are reviewing the format to see if there are revisions that can be made to limit the amount of downtime on the bench between shifts.

·         Issues has arisen with one MM coach and will be addressed before their next practice.

Finance - (Baumgartner) 

·         We are 2 sponsors short (1 Mite, 1 Pee-Wee).

·         4 forms are still out and we are waiting for payment.

·         Tim Horton’s jersey’s will be here by the 22^nd for IP and Mini-Mites

·         House Jersey’s will be in 1 week later than promised and will not be in until the end of the month.

Public Relations (Ciesielski) -

·         Nothing to report.

New Business

·         Motion was made by Harold St. John to approve AssetWare and Domar for pictures, with the stipulation that SMAHL needs to receive one 5x7 team picture for the sponsor’s plaque.  Motion 2^nd by Pat Heldt.  Motion passed unanimously.

The next House Board meeting is October 13th, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. in the Loft. 

There being no other new business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
