called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Harold St.John

Jerseys
- After
discussion about Contak going out of business for the jerseys, Dennis Callan
presented the following proposals from Mike Mankowski in the pro shop for next
year.

Motion from Harold St. John to purchase the Athletic
2-color jersey. Second by Chris
Puhl. Motion passed unanimously.

The
jerseys will be drop shipped to the silk screener to get a head start on the
numbers and SMAHL logo. Based on
the sponsorship retention rate of about 60-70% most of the logos are already
paid for at the silk screen company. Team
Sports may be looked at as an additional source for screening if there is an
issue with overflow and timing.

Socks
need to be ordered by beginning of June to get the discount.

Heldt to contact an internet service provider and design a dedicated website for
SMAHL not to exceed $750 and split between house and travel.

medical/USA Hockey forms need to be filled out at registration this year.

Background
checks are caught up with USA Hockey. This
expense will be much less this year as most of the coaches have already been
checked.

Motion - The Red Wings proposal for college tickets was
presented. The cost is $18,000 for
the year. The proposal was voted
down unanimously. Individual teams
can contact the Red Wings through Public Relations if they would like to inquire
about selling college tickets as a fundraiser.

The
SMAHL travel board tryout and meeting schedule was handed out.

Ice
Chips will be sent out with registration information
·
Used
equipment sale will be determined. Harold
St. John will be there.
·
Scorekeepers
will be provided by each team for next year.
·
Due to
the unavailability of the old lobby, the coaching clinics in September will be
at the Clarion Hotel in Toledo.
Bruce Sorg has the proposal from the hotel on how the conference room
will be set up. The room will be
$275 and the TV will be $65.
·
Estimated
player registration numbers for 2001-2002 were presented.

SMAHL organization needs to work with the pro shop to make sure our needs are
being met for jersey's and socks..
Secretary

USA
Hockey age change proposal; is posted in the display case.
Treasurer
(Kitz/Cook) -

Profit/Loss
statement for the year was distributed. A
profit of $14,253 to date is being shown. This will offset the more than $10,000 loss incurred during
the 1999-2000 season.

Ice
Costs for the 2001-2002 need to be finalized before the budget can be
finalized for next year.
·
A
preliminary budget using 38 and 42 hours will be developed for estimating.
Scheduling

Copy of
the Ice allocation proposal for 2001-2002 was distributed.
We should know around the second week of June what will get accepted
from the rink.

Will
contact Monroe about renting ice for certain nights.
Rules
& Discipline (Gomach) -

The
helmet rule is mandatory this year for all coaches and will be enforced 100%.
(No exceptions)
Equipment
(Puhl) -

Damaged
equipment from the spring will be repaired by the pro shop if needed.

All-star
jerseys need to be turned in from last year
·
Need to
order 6 sets of “pennies” for tryouts.
Each set to be a different color
